The Boston Sports Club is getting a new logo.
According to the Boston Globe, the club’s new logo will feature the “B” and “s” representing the Boston Bruins, as well as a “S” representing a soccer team.
It will also include a yellow circle, a red cross, a white cross, and a green circle.
The new logo has been in the works for several years and was approved by the Boston Celtics Board of Directors in July 2017.
The team has long used the name Boston Sports Clubs since it first opened in 1903.
The club’s current logo is based on the logo of the Boston Red Sox.
The logo was also used by the American Hockey League’s Minnesota North Stars and the National Hockey League Washington Capitals.
“The Boston Sports Council is pleased to announce the rebranding of our logo to reflect the values of the B’s Boston-based sports club,” said Boston Sports Commission President and CEO, Tom Staggs, in a statement.
“We want to emphasize that we are proud of our history, heritage and identity and that we have a great commitment to building the best product in the world for our fans, employees and sponsors.
We will continue to do everything in our power to ensure that the Bs Boston-area sports club continues to be the premier and trusted name in the sport.”
