CBSSports.com’s Kevin Arnovitz reported Thursday that the cost for Kentucky’s 2017-18 home games in the first six months of the season was $5.8 million.
That would make Kentucky’s home slate a $2.5 million increase from the previous year.
That is up from the $2 million cost of Kentucky’s inaugural home slate in the 2016-17 season.
The cost for the 2018-19 home slate was not immediately available.
The Wildcats are projected to play 13 games this season at FedExForum.
In 2018-2019, the Wildcats’ first-round NCAA Tournament game against Texas A&M will be played at the University of Kentucky, which was also the site of a 2014 NCAA Tournament Final Four game between Kentucky and Kentucky State.
Kentucky’s home schedule will continue to be a focal point for the Wildcats as they prepare for a run at the Final Four.
The team is slated to travel to the state of Kentucky for the 2019-2020 season and will play two home games on the road against Louisville and Texas A & M in 2019.
The Kentucky Wildcats played their first four games in March and April.
Their next four home games are scheduled to take place against Duke in March, the University at Buffalo in March 31 and March 31, 2020, and the University and State of Texas in April 11 and April 16, 2020.
