Recode has broken a story that revealed the cover for the first issue of Sports Illustrated Swimsuits, which was released in July 2016.
Recode is reporting the cover has been swapped out with the cover of the magazine’s fall 2017 edition.
According to the story, the magazine was inspired by the idea that sports are just a game.
“Our editors and staff are really excited about the cover,” Sports Illustrated Editor-in-Chief Brian Wieser told Recode in an email.
“We hope that everyone will share the joy of seeing the cover that is so often a part of the sport we cover.”
“We hope everyone will enjoy reading the cover and want to tell everyone about it,” Wiesar added.
“In addition to the cover, the issue also includes a photo essay, plus more than 20 pages of new and upcoming stories.
The first issue is out now and will be on sale to the public this week.”

“As our cover designer, the cover design was an important part of our process.
As an editor and a swimsuit designer, I know that design is an important tool for the design of our covers.
It gives us a sense of depth and dimension.”
The company said it will be sharing more information about the issue later this week.
